Susan Baker is the Chair of Youth Forum and organizes and
chairs the Youth Forum Planning Team weekends, provides
support to the team and is a liaison between Maritime Conference
and Youth Forum. This is Susan's third year on the planning
team, but she has been involved with youth forum as both
a participant and facilitator for 9 years. Outside of YF,
Susan works as a Social Worker in Halifax. |

Rev. Greg Davis, Chaplain

Greg Davis is back once again as the male chaplain for
Youth Forum. He was ordained in 1993 and presently
ministering with the congregation of Trinity-Clifton United
in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. He is a Canadian
Certified Counsellor, Naval Reserve Chaplain, and private
pilot. He is excited to be sharing and learning with
the young people at Youth Forum. Greg lives with his
wife, Ellen and two sons in PEI. |

Rev. Joan Griffin, Chaplain

Joan Griffin is the female chaplain for Youth Forum 2009.
She has very fond memories of attending Youth Forum as a
delegate when it was in the early stages of becoming a part
of the yearly meetings of Maritime Conference. Joan has
enjoyed the presentations Youth Forum has offered to the
Delegates of Maritime Conference and is looking forward
to once again having a wonderful faith experience with the
youth. Joan is presently serving the Lower Musquodoboit
Pastoral Charge in Nova Scotia. She graduated from the Atlantic
School of Theology in 2006 and was Ordained in the same
year. She is looking forward to the opportunity of learning
and sharing an understanding of the faith journey of today's
youth. Joan has two children who are presently living away
from home. She lives in Meagher's Grant with her husband
Mike and their two cats. |

April Hart, Co-Director

April Hart was born and raised in Guysborough County and
grew up attending a small United Church in the country.
After graduating from StFX University April spent several
years travelling and living abroad. April moved back to
the Maritimes in 2005 and now lives in Halifax where she
works as a Salesperson with O'Regan's Automotive Group and
attends Bedford United Church. April has been involved in
YF both as a Participant and as a Facilitator for more than
10 years and is very happy to be a member of the Planning
Team. |

Karen Bishop, Co-Director

Karen Bishop is a Co-Director on the Youth Forum Planning
Team. She has been a Youth Forum facilitator and participant
for close to 10 years. Karen has also been a home group
leader at General Council Youth Forum and Kairos. Karen works
as a teacher in Amherst. |

Nic Carhart, Registrar
Rothesay, NB | nic@youthforum.ca
Nic is the registrar for Youth Forum. Originally by way
of a dairy farm in Sussex, NB, Nic now lives in Rothesay,
NB. He works in the design and communications industry.
This will be his sixth year as a facilitator at YF, and
fifth as part of the Planning Team. Nic was first introduced
to YF way back in the day when he came as a participant
in 1997. He loves everything about Youth Forum. |

Greg Moffatt, Treasurer

Greg joins the Planning Team this year as Treasurer. He
has been a facilitator for the past two Youth Forums at
Maritime Conference. Greg works in the finance industry
in Halifax. |

Megan Ricketts, Secretary

Megan joins the Planning Team this
year as Secretary. She has been a facilitator for the past
number of years, and has spent time overseas on mission
trips.

Ross Sherwood, Facilities Coordinator
Grand Bay-Westfield, NB | ross@youthforum.ca
Ross Sherwood has been a member of the Westfield United
Church for 40 years. He has been active in many different
aspects of his church. From teaching Sunday School, working
with the youth group, chairing many committees within the
church. Ross is currently chairing a Refugee Sponsorship
Team, working to bring refugee family from Iran to Canada.
This will be Ross's 7th year involved in Youth Forum. the
past 4 years Ross has been a member of the YF Planning Team,
2 years as co-chair and this is his second year as Facilities
Co-Ordinator. As a member of the Planning Team, Ross is
excited to build a weekend for the youth, giving them an
opportunity to share their faith and ideas with other peers.
Ross has a passion and a love for God. In September 2008
Ross travelled to Thailand to take part in a Gift of Sight
Mission trip with his company, Pearle Vision. Ross's favorite
scripture is Psalm 46:10 "Be Still and know that I
am God". |

Mike Griffin, Facilitator Representative

Mike Griffin was born and raised
in Cape Breton Island. Mike joined the Military (Air Force)
in 1984 and has lived in Prince Edward Island, Ontario and
moved back to Nova Scotia in 1997. He now lives in Meaghers
Grant and works at 12 Wing Shearwater. Mike has been involved
as an YF Facilitator for the last 4 years and is very happy
to join the Planning Team this year as the Facilitator Rep. |

Gord joins the planning team this
year taking on the role of Communications Coordinator. He
has spent the past four Youth Forums as our photographer
and facilitator.

to ensure it is youth relevant.

Steve Spencer, Music Director ~ lead

Riverview, NB (but an Islander at heart!) | music@youthforum.ca
Steve is a transplanted Islander now living in Riverview
NB. He has had several roles with Youth Forum over
the 15 years he has been involved. He has had the advantage
of seeing things from the participant, to the facilitator,
to a non facilitating role perspective as part of the music
team. "Youth Forum is a blessing for high school
youth to worship God together and to explore his.her faith." |

Nathan Beeler , Music Team ~ lead vocals,
guitar, mandolin, bass guitar

Nathan Beeler is a music teacher from Halifax who has been
part of the music team for four years and counting. He plays
mandolin, guitar and just about anything else needed at
the time. He has a beautiful wife, two very active beagles
and a huge love of praise music. |

Vikki Reid, Music Team ~ piano/keyboard,
vocals

Youth Forum 2010 will be Vikki's ninth year on the music
team. Along with being the pianist, she also adds
some awesome vocals to the group! She was born and raised
in Masstown, NS. Vikki is a recent St. Francis Xavier University
grad, and is back at X working on her education degree. |

Sara Wilson, Music Team ~ Bass guitar,
vocals

Sara is very excited to be attending Youth Forum this year
as bass player and vocalist on the music team! Sara is a
transplanted Masstown-er, but now calls Kensington, PEI
home. When not on the Island you can find her at St.FX,
where she is in her third year of the music program. Sara
has been a past participant of Youth Forum, and was also
blessed to be part of General Council YF in Thunder Bay,
Ont. She can't wait to experience YF again this year! |
